Glad you all got home safely in the end. Icicles have defrosted now thanks but am thinking will have to include crampons in next outfit in case I get the urge to climb again. I have decided against the black spandex for next time though as I was wearing the outfit today and stopped for a break on the A1 and the RAC pulled into the layby as they thought I was a burst lorry tyre Julie

LYLIE! Appropriate adult! After all, who is more appropriate than Lylie! She has missed the festive season disasters, I mean refined evening outings with ladies ha, ha, ha........... Lylie, my darling, a special invite to my do! I will give you the date shortly but I think sometime in February. Doreen needs to know well in advance as a week with the polyfilla wasn't enough last time: I reckon a month is about right, especially if she tints it again. Doreen, ask the others for confirmation, but that shade of orange was a bit iffy!

That was spray tan Eleanor! I thought it was blocked and was inspecting the can closely when all of a sudden it sprayed its contents all over my face! You wouldn't pick Lylie for the responsible adult if you had seen her upside down on her hospital bed after 3 bottles of cherry brandy! AND she had the hospital gown on back to front.....very fetching!

I've recently had an eye test, and can swear I thought I saw Eleanor coming out of a Botox salon the night of the do... WHY, Lylie would make a fantastic "Appropriate Adult" and I will personally take her under my wing to ensure that she get's the best training available from my colleagues at the Met.

Hi Amanda - they are sharp spikey things you attach to boots to go climbing in ice and snow - might actually go better with Jean's outfit.

Maybe this one could be arranged around the London Eye. Now that would give us LOADS of options!!!!! We could also fit in a Thames River trip (the river police look pretty fit). We could finish the night in style outside the Palace and get a glimpse of what lies beneath the guardsmens bearskins? Julie would have to promise not to climb up Marble Arch if HRH is in residence and there could be no fooling around on the Eye?!

Like the sound of this Jean! A sedate sail from Greenwich to Westminster having a few medicinal drinks on board while listening to the rivermen giving us the history of the river. Then a quiet flight on the eye followed by a wander past the palace! Very suitable for a lady such as I on her retirement evening! I will wear gloves!

You'll be welcome Inky!
Just a thought girls! Where is Jenni? She started out with us but has anyone heard where she went or indeed if she got back. Last seen playing the harp, then Kathleen was making a fuss about the snake.............

My brother has a flat which overlooks the Eye...that's helpful isn't it as he has a store of booze and a bed......
We can get changed there. He also has a small balcony so we could always do a dive into the Thames?? (may need a crampon or three)
How fast does that eye go though? I'm quite scared of heights too.
And do snakes like water? Hope not!

That would be perfect for you Lizzie Amanda, the eye is rather slow but I suppose we could always bribe them to speed it up for us? I saw Jenni yesterday using the harp for a sledge. She should be careful, sitting on those strings
